First GM Chess Academy opens with IM Lim Yee Weng

IM Lim tells us of his struggle to becoming an International Master. It was truly an eye opener and an inspiring story.
Group photo. First seated from the left is Putri our new National player from Perak, then IM Lim; Puan Adzlin is 3rd seated from the left. Puan Shafrina is next to her. They came all the way from KL to grace the occasion. A big thank you. Mark Siew, another new National player from Perak is standing behind Yee Weng (in green). Uztaz Rahman, our chief trainer is the guy in red at the back. And Simon, our Perak honcho is the second guy from the right at the back.

IM Lim Yee Weng playing the simul. He creamed the field. Maybe one day, someone from Perak will be as strong.

  1. Are there any good coaches in Perak who is willing to travel to Kampar weekly?

Im looking for a chess coach. Local would be more economical than getting a foreigner to teach through skype
