The First GM Chess Academy's philosophy is aimed at developing a positive and nurturing environment where our children are trained to sharpen their mental skills by asking the right questions and to critically apply analytical methodologies to the challenges before them and to maintain a high level of thinking under increasing pressure. Ergo we focus on teaching how to think as opposed to what to think. And we use chess in the spirit of healthy competition as the medium of instruction.
We aim to prepare young Malaysians, irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affinity, to face a globalised world through chess training by developing a winning mindset.
